President’s Message

Reema Syed, M.D.
APPNA St. Louis President – 2025

Dear APPNA St. Louis Members, Friends, and Supporters,

As we embark on a new year, I am deeply honored to serve as the President of APPNA St.
Louis for 2025. Together, we reflect on the past, celebrate our achievements, and renew our commitment to our community. We have witnessed the strength and resilience of the Pakistani- American healthcare professionals in our region, and I am excited about the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead.

A Vision for Community Growth

In 2025, we aim to build on the solid foundation that our chapter has established in St. Louis, expanding our reach and fostering stronger connections with our broader community. Whether it is through healthcare services, educational initiatives, or outreach programs, our community remains our greatest asset. Together, we will focus on advancing our mission of health, education, and philanthropy. We will work diligently to create a platform that encourages collaboration and mutual support, ensuring that all of us continue to grow both professionally and personally.

Leadership Development

As healthcare professionals, we must lead by example, fostering a culture of integrity,
compassion, and excellence. This year, we will dedicate efforts to leadership development
through mentorship programs, leadership training, and various professional growth
opportunities. By empowering each other with the tools and resources needed to succeed, we not only enhance the capabilities of our members but also create future leaders who will continue to inspire and drive positive change in the healthcare community and beyond. Leadership isn’t just about titles—it’s about making a difference in the lives of others, and I believe every member of APPNA St. Louis has the potential to do so.

Youth Engagement

The future of our community lies in the hands of our youth. As part of our vision for 2025,
engaging and inspiring the next generation of leaders is a top priority. We will continue to
provide mentorship, internships, and educational opportunities that empower young Pakistani-American students to pursue their dreams in healthcare, research, and other professions. By guiding and supporting them, we ensure the continuation of our rich legacy and prepare them to tackle the challenges and opportunities of tomorrow.

I ask for your support and active participation as we work together to achieve these goals. Let us continue to build a vibrant, inclusive, and thriving community—one that fosters professional growth, leadership, and innovation, and one that nurtures and empowers the future generations.

Thank you for entrusting me with this responsibility. I am excited to work alongside each of you to make 2025 a year of great achievement and progress. Together, we can continue to make an impactful difference.

With best wishes for a successful year ahead,
